Sing Social is a workshop designed to get people singing together and making new connections. It’s a cross between a social club, a pub sing, and a sing-a-long – experience the buzz of belting out a tune as part of a group, and make meaningful connections at the same time. Enjoy an hour of singing led by one of our amazing facilitators, and learn how to sing a well-known song in harmony. Stick around afterwards to meet some new people and have a chat.
Sing Social was created as a way to get younger people involved in community singing. With a pilot program running in Collingwood throughout 2025, our aim is to create a space where people under 40 can meet new people, make friends, and experience the joy you get from singing together in a low-pressure, accepting environment.
We’re now offering Sing Social as a session that can be run for your community, as a way to bring people together and spark joy. We’ll provide an amazing facilitator, an arrangement of a well-known song, a proven format, and all the good vibes you’ll need!
Some songs we’ve previously sung include:
- Pink Pony Club – Chappell Roan
- Please Please Please – Sabrina Carpenter
- Birds of a Feather – Billie Eilish
- Dreams – The Cranberries
Our sessions are designed to be accessible to everyone, with no musical experience required. You don’t need professional singing skills to join in – just come along and have fun!
What is Sing Social?
Sing Social is an event that we started in Collingwood to get younger people involved in community singing! We wanted to create a space where young adults could meet new people, make friends, and experience the joy you get from singing together in a low-pressure, accepting environment. It’s not about how you sound, it’s about how you feel!
Join us for an hour of singing, learn a new song, and meet some new people! It’s a cross between a social club, a pub choir, and a sing-along – experience the buzz of belting out a tune as part of a group, and make meaningful connections at the same time!
Sing Social is run by Creativity Australia – learn more about us and our network of community choirs.
