SING-A-LONG-A-THON
The Sing-a-Long-a-Thon is an invitation for choirs, communities, families, and individuals around Australia to lead joyful community sing-a-longs in public places in the month of March. With One Voice choirs will lead the charge, inviting and encouraging the general public to sing along – loudly, proudly, and without apology. Singing is for EVERYONE!
EVENT DETAILS
When: Any time in March 2026
Where: Any public place – the busier the better!
We believe that singing together reconnects us with ourselves, and each other. We believe everyone should have access to the sort of joy and connection we feel at choir from week to week, and we want to share that joy around Australia. We want to make singing together Australia’s other great national pastime.
STAGE ONE – GIG PLANNING
First things first, we need to lock in some dates and venues. Have a search around for any events in your area that may bring a crowd.
Is there a local market you could sing at? Is there a big game that brings a crowd? Are there any local council events you could be a part of? Or maybe just outside Coles on a Saturday morning when there’s plenty of foot traffic.
More people singing = more cultural change, so think big!
Once you have a place and time in mind, use the form on this page so we can help promote it for you.

Do we need permission?
If it is a council event, or an event run by a private company, it is always best to ask. Pitched right, I think every event would love to be a part of something like this. Just tell them you want to get everyone singing together, and see if you can get them to come on board with the idea!
